Who are we?

Split Prism is a media production company based in Richmond, Virginia. Born and raised among the Blue Ridge Mountains, we’ve grown up surrounded by craft products and small businesses. To honor the craft legacy, we approach media creation with a farm-to-table mentality, tending to every step of the creative process.

We have vertically integrated capabilities to match you exact needs. We are able to work with you from the seed of an idea to the distribution of a finely-tuned product, or we are able to isolate just the steps you need. For example:

What’s a “Split Prism”?

Some cameras utilize a split prism viewfinder to focus the image. Looking through the prism, anything out of focus will appear in a double (or split) image. As you bring the subject into focus, the the two images join into one clear image. We look forward to joining you to bring your video projects into focus.
