The Crow & Saloum

This week we’re talking about the films The Crow and Saloum.

The Crow is a 1994 American film directed by Alex Proyas and shot by Dariusz Wolski. On Devil’s Night, one year after his death, Eric returns to the land of the living. Rising to the occasion, he becomes an undead vigilante exacting revenge on the goons who killed him.

Saloum is a 2021 Senegalese film directed by Jean Luc Herbulot and shot by Gregory Corandi. The Hyenas, a trio of mercenaries, find themselves in Saloum when an extraction mission goes wrong. As the barrier to the spirit world crumbles, a seemingly unplanned stop turns into far more than any of them could have expected.
